Sam has coffee colored complexion covered in freckles with red poppies naturally growing out of her body. She has brown kinky hair with honey highlights and eyes as green as the leaves on her poppies. She's tall at 5'9" with a muscular frame that she often hides in baggy and masculine clothing so that her poppies remain a secret from humans.
She lives with her younger half-brother Jonah Huxley in a small apartment in the Slums near West Asia. While Jonah finishes his last year of high school Sam has been acclimating herself to the human world of Crossroads that Sam and Jonah's mother, Rebecca, kept her hidden away from for most of her life for fear that she wouldn't be accepted because of her differences from "normal" humans.
Now that Sam is free of her mother she is working at the Lucky Corner Store in East Asia as she explores Crossroads, learns about her abilities and what it's like to really live all while making life long friends along the way.
